91 Z28 LS1 Tips

Below I have listed most of the installation problems that I ran into. This I sure is not everything but it will give you a good idea on what problems you may run into when install a LS1 into your car.

• Relocate Front Brake Lines - - Interfears with LS1 Motor Mounts
  
• Cut front suspension crossmember  - A/C compressor will fit
  

• Lower Idler Arm down 1/2" so it does not contact the A/C compressor
  
• Modify the passenger side crossmember to frame brace so it does ont interfear with the A/C compressor
  
• Modify A/C Heater box lip that interfears with the coil pack
  
• Using a LS1 throttle cable requires modifing the gas pedal and firewall connection
  
• Use the 4th gen LS1 power steering high presssure line
  
• Modified Upper and Lower radiator hoses
  
• Relocate the drivers side O2 sensor to the top of the CAT
  
• Relocate both CATS so they clear the frame rails
  
• Make a custom exhaust Y-pipe
